Today is warm and mostly sunny with an occasional brief shower that is more refreshing than annoying. It is windy and the water choppy, but the ship's stabilizers are working just fine.
Our port call in Rarotonga yesterday was the farthest point on our round trip from San Diego. The ship is now steering an ENE course for Raiatea after which our course will become more easterly. Beginning tomorrow ROTTERDAM will make six port calls in seven days making this the busiest part of our cruise. We will not cross back into the northern hemisphere until March 29.
The upcoming cluster of port calls will cause me to fall behind on this blog. After Nuku Hiva we are at sea for six days before reaching San Diego. This should provide me an opportunity to get caught up.
